With technical and management background, Mr. Hong Tran has more than 20 years of experiences in providing software strategy and solution for clients from many countries. In 2003, Mr. Schellenberg established one of the first BPO companies in Vietnam - DIGI-TEXX. A year after, He also founded GHP Far East (now known as Swiss Post Solutions) as a spin-off for the GHP Group from Germany. He led the company until as CEO and develop it as a top global BPO and Software Development provider. Together with his talented team, Mr. Schellenberg has been continuously bringing Vietnam BPO Branding to the world. Vietnam nowadays, in fact, has been recognized as the No. 1 pioneering BPO destination, as an alternative to traditional BPO giants such as China, India or the Philippines.

Biography:

Mr. Long Vuong is one of the high-profile professionals in human resource management, corporate governance, and operations management. As a VNITO BOD member, he has been playing key roles in organizing the 1st (2015), the 2nd (2017), and now the 3rd International Conference of VNITO (2019).

Mr. Vuong has worked for LogiGear, a Silicon Valley - based software testing company, for more than 10 years. He is Vice President of HR & Operations. Occasionally he teaches at the University of Economics HCMC (UEH). Mr. Vuong holds a MBA degree (valedictorian), a BA in finance & accounting, and a BA in English linguistics. Interestingly, he is the Vietnamese translator of the best-selling English book “Nudge”, the theory that earned the co-author (Dr. Richard H. Thaler of Chicago University) the Nobel Prize in Economics 2017. Mr. Vuong received an Excellence Prize by Japan Foreign Trade Council in Tokyo 2017 for his initiatives contributed to the Role of Japanese Companies in Global Trade.

Biography:

Viet is a widely recognized expert in strategic and transformational Procurement. His unique insights and wealth of knowledge regarding individual operational environments are built on his 25 years of transformational experiences at AT Kearney, Accenture, JPM Chase and Russell Investments. Viet has a deep understanding of corporate cultures and has successfully demonstrated the value of indirect procurement across multiple industries and fortune 500 organizations.

In 2018, Viet left the corporate world to start his own company, JKAdvisory (“JKA”). JKA is specifically targeted at helping organizations demonstrate Procurement value to leadership. Under the corporate umbrella of JKA and its subsidiary JKA Solutions, Viet has gained clients’ accolades for his innovative solutions to move Procurement organizations from tactical-to-strategic-to-transformational.

Biography:

Dai has more than 20 years of experience in software development and worked on many different types of products, technologies and business models. He has worked in Korea, Canada and the United States and has a deep-rooted understanding of many cultures, businesses and the industry standards. With his diverse experience and skill set, at KMS, Dai has successfully gone through several different roles, including Software Architect, Account Manager, Testing Head and Delivery Head. Currently, he is in Managing Director role, overseeing the whole operation of KMS in Vietnam.

Dai Tran received a BS degree from Ho Chi Minh University of Technology, where he majored in Computer Science. He completed his Executive MBA Program at Shidler School of Business (University of Hawaii at Manoa) in 2015.

Biography:

Mr. An Mai is the Vice President of VNITO Alliance and the board member of Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA). An has more than 20 years of experience in digital transformation and outsourcing industry. He has extensive experience in setting up and operating Offshore Development Centers for enterprises from early-stage to Fortune 500. An also has international working experience in USA, Canada and APAC countries.

An is the co-founder of IMT Solutions, a technology service firm focusing on providing digital transformation and software offshore services for a global customer base. Additionally, he is incubating several start-ups with unique products in eCommerce, hospitality, machine learning and crowdsourcing.

An obtained his master degrees in both engineering and business administration. An is a Certified Scrum Master and one of the early adopters of Agile in Vietnam.

Abstract:

The Sentinel Chain (https://sentinel-chain.org/) is a global B2B marketplace for financial services accepting the use livestock as collateral. It addresses two main issues to be solved to allow the asset tokenization of livestock: First, the creation of a process that transforms livestock from ‘dead capital’ to a fungible asset with a transparent and clear defined value. Second, the creation of an open and transparent marketplace that connects the unbanked to the network of global financial providers. With the support of LBVD of the Myanmar Ministry of Agriculture, pilot project was carried out in 2018 with 1000 livestocks that were tagged NFC chips in Myanmar. And the MOU with Rwanda’s Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources was signed in Apr, 2019. LOTUS APP is honored to be the main technology provider of Sentinel Chain from the first day.

Hung Nguyen co-founded LogiGear in 1994, and is responsible for the company's strategic direction and executive business management. His passion and relentless focus on execution and results has been the driver for the company's innovative approach to software testing, test automation, testing tool solutions and testing education programs.

Hung is co-author of the top-selling book in the software testing field, “Testing Computer Software,” (Wiley, 2nd ed. 1993) and other publications including, “Testing Applications on the Web,” (Wiley, 1st ed. 2001, 2nd ed. 2003), and “Global Software Test Automation,” (HappyAbout Publishing, 2006). His experience prior to LogiGear includes leadership roles in software development, quality, product and business management at Spinnaker, PowerUp, Electronic Arts and Palm Computing.

Served in IT industry for last 32 years including key management positions with IBM for 18 years. Got through broad management experiences in direct or indirect sales for H/W,S/W business, IT & Professional Consulting business and SI/ITO business. Have 5 years of Korea Country Head experience in Wipro Limited Korea and 5 years of Sales Executive experiences in BearingPoint Korea. The recent 10 years job has led me to get a deeper experience in running solution business mostly in Enterprise market and Mid market space as well in Korea. 

Especially as a Head of Wipro Korea, I had established sound Business Base from the scratch so accomplished very high growth & meaningful achievements with Samsung, LG & KT etc. Total IT service revenue which I had produced during 5 years is valued at 50M+ USD up to June 2015.    I had expanded my business size from 1 to 28 direct reports and 80+ on-site headcounts at peak. I am comfortable to work with global matrix organization. Effective and efficient people management capability is something I am able to get as by-product of my working with other people, and I see this as the most valuable asset I came to acquire. 

Based on Outsourcing Experience with Indian IT company and Vietnam IT company, I had been worked as Vietnam Country Manager at Saltware Co. from Oct. 2018. My major role is to establish relationship between Korea S/W solution companies and Vietnam IT service companies. 

Quynh Nguyen is Senior Vice President - General Manager of Global CyberSoft Vietnam (GCS), a company of Hitachi Consulting Corporation. With more than 1,000 professionals, GCS provides IT solutions and services for more than 18 countries worldwide.

Prior to joining Global CyberSoft, Mr. Quynh Nguyen developed broad global experience at top technology companies. Most recently, he was the Country General Director of SCC Vietnam - a company under RigbyGroup of the UK - European largest independent IT and Cloud Services company. Before joining SCC, Mr. Quynh Nguyen had worked as Senior Director of Microsoft, in charge of Public Sector relationship and business development. In total, he has got more than 15 years’ experiences of business management in IT industry with good track records in multi-national corporations such as IBM Hewlett Packard and Schneider Electric.

Mr. Thinh Nguyen (Nguyễn Ngọc Thịnh) had worked in the software industry for over 25 years in the US specializing in rapid developing of enterprise and telecommunication system before moving to Vietnam in 2002. He owned Pyramid Software Development (PSD) in HCMC and sold it in 2010. He is still an active entrepreneur in the high-tech industry working with companies in Vietnam today in areas such as web/mobile application, embedded software, integrated circuit design, and PCB manufacturing. He founded Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) Committee of American Chamber of Commerce Vietnam in 2004 and served as the committee Chairman until 2006. He has also participated in many non-profit projects in Vietnam since 1990 in diverse areas such as medical, education and cultural. Thinh is a graduate of University of New Orleans with a BS degree in Computer Science.

Viet graduated with a BA and an MA from the University of Oxford, and an MBA from Indiana University. He is a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Professional in Supply Management.

Vu Lam is the CEO and Founder of KMS Technology, a US-based product engineering and services company with development and testing centers in Vietnam. With 10 years of operation, KMS has grown to over 1000 professionals and been trusted by clients around the globe for superior products and services quality.

Prior to founding KMS, Vu co-founded Paragon Solutions, Inc., a US-based technology consulting company with international development centers in India and Vietnam. His guidance of Paragon Solutions Vietnam led to his recognition as a pioneer of the Vietnam IT industry. In 2003, First Consulting Group, a NASDAQ traded company, acquired Paragon. Vu then led FCG’s Global Shared-Services group through tremendous growth from 400 to 1,300+ resources.
